Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ZeroSight AI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

Description of Service

ZeroSight AI is an AI chat platform with a built-in privacy enforcement layer. The Service detects personally identifiable information (PII) in messages before they are sent to third-party AI providers and applies configurable enforcement actions including blocking, stripping, masking, warning, and highlighting.

The Service is provided "as is" and is intended to assist with privacy compliance. It is not a substitute for legal advice or a comprehensive data protection program.

Account Registration

To use ZeroSight AI, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with PII enforcement mechanisms
Upload malicious content designed to exploit the PII detection pipeline
Attempt to extract or reverse-engineer replacement maps or detection models
Use the Service to process data in violation of applicable privacy regulations
Share account credentials or allow unauthorized access to your organization's account
Interfere with the operation of the Service or impose unreasonable load on infrastructure

Organization Accounts

Organization administrators may configure PII enforcement policies that apply to all users within their organization. As an organization user:

You are subject to your organization's configured PII policies
Your organization administrator may access aggregated analytics and audit logs
Organization policies set the minimum enforcement floor; you may choose stricter settings but never looser ones
Your organization is responsible for ensuring its configured policies comply with applicable regulations

PII Detection and Enforcement

No Guarantee of Complete Detection

While ZeroSight AI employs advanced detection methods including AI-powered entity recognition and pattern matching across 55+ entity types, no detection system is perfect. We do not guarantee that all PII will be detected in all cases. Users should exercise their own judgment when sharing sensitive information.

Enforcement Modes

The Service provides multiple enforcement modes (Block, Strip, Smart Mask, Replace, Warn, Highlight). The effectiveness of each mode depends on correct configuration and the accuracy of PII detection. Smart Mask mode relies on placeholder replacement and unmasking — while we employ output scanning and miss detection, edge cases may occur.

Audit Logging

PII detection events are logged for compliance purposes. These logs may include entity types detected, confidence scores, enforcement actions taken, and associated metadata. Audit logs are accessible to authorized organization administrators.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, algorithms, documentation, and design, is owned by ZeroSight AI and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of all content you submit through the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content as necessary to provide the Service, including PII detection, masking, and transmission to AI providers as configured.

Third-Party AI Providers

The Service integrates with third-party AI providers to deliver AI chat functionality. We are not responsible for:

The accuracy, quality, or appropriateness of AI-generated responses
The privacy practices of third-party AI providers beyond the PII enforcement we apply
Service interruptions or changes made by third-party providers

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZeroSight AI and its affiliates shall not be liable for:

Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities
Any PII that is not detected by the Service
Actions taken by third-party AI providers
Service interruptions or downtime

Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ZeroSight AI, its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
